Hi, I’m Shami Makuto—a writer, speaker, and founder of Child of a Sovereign God, a global platform created to help women find healing, identity, and purpose through faith. Born from my own story of pain, trauma, and divine restoration, this space has become a safe haven where thousands are reminded that wholeness is possible—and redemption is real.

My journey has taken me through valleys of abuse, heartbreak, shame, and spiritual struggle. I don’t write or speak as someone who has arrived, but as someone who has been rescued repeatedly by the relentless love of God. My voice is raw, honest, and anchored in the Word—offering hope to the brokenhearted and light to those walking through darkness.

Through devotionals, storytelling, online content, and Christ-centered teaching, I aim to inspire women around the world to embrace their worth as daughters of a sovereign King, to heal deeply, and to trust God’s timing in every season.

The mission is simple, but powerful: to restore hearts, revive faith, and remind every soul that their story isn’t over—it’s simply being rewritten by grace.
